 Sri Lanka is one of the countries on the Asian continent. It is located in the middle of the Indian Ocean. People of three religions live here. They are Hindu, Muslim, and Buddhist. The people living here speak three types of languages, namely Tamil, English, and Sinhalese. 60 percent of the people here are Sinhalese, and 40 percent are Tamils and Muslims. The Sinhalese are the majority here, so Sri Lankan politics is dominated by the majority.
